Single Cleanings

What is a Single Cleaning?

Cleanings when you want them! Single Cleanings are one-time services Fairy customers can book, either on top of their weekly recurring cleanings or as stand-alone services. These services range from 1-hour to 6-hour durations.


How do I book a Single Cleaning?

Fairy customers can book Single Cleanings when first registering or within the mobile app. From the mobile app, tap on the Booking icon and follow the instructions to submit a single cleaning request.

Don’t have an account? Not a problem! Simply go to www.itsfairy.com and select “Book Once” when choosing your service type.


Who will be servicing my home for the Single Cleaning?

All request for Single Cleanings are sent to housekeepers in the Fairy network.

Customers with subscriptions can manage their authorization level when submitting a Single Cleaning request. We recommend an authorization level of at least “notify unless primary or backup,” which gives you the best of both worlds: Control over who is (and is not) in your home, as well as the ability to reschedule your cleaning should your Primary Housekeeper not be available.

Customers will be notified when a housekeeper picks up their cleaning.


How do I edit my request?

At any point, you can edit the details of your single cleaning request from the mobile app.


When will my housekeeper be here?

We completely understand the need to plan out your day so your home can be serviced. You can set multiple dates and times for your cleaning request. On the day of your Single Cleaning, feel free to reach out to your housekeeper for a more correct estimate of their ETA through the Fairy messenger.


What will be done during the cleaning?

Your cleaning specifications can be submitted in the Single Cleanings request. Please be thorough in your expectations.


Is the housekeeper going to bring their own supplies?

Once a housekeeper has accepted your single cleaning request, please clarify details on supplies with them.


My Primary Housekeeper is not available to service my home. What now?

For customers with a subscription: If your Primary Housekeeper is unable to service your Single Cleaning, you can always submit a new request with another housekeeper authorization level. This allows us to send your Single Cleaning request to our network of trusted housekeepers while you retain full control over who is authorized to come into your home, and who is not.


My request expired. Now what?

Your request expires if a housekeeper in the Fairy Network does not accept it by the end of the day of the last date and time on your request. If your request expires, you will receive a text message and an e-mail from Fairy.


How does payment work?

Payment is completed seamlessly through your Fairy account. Once the cleaning is completed, your card will be charged and you’ll receive an email receipt for the additional cleaning. Just make sure that your credit card details and account is set up properly, and we’ll take care of the rest!


How do I tip my Fairy Housekeeper?

You will get a notification from us as soon as your Fairy Housekeeper marks the cleaning as completed. Once it’s been marked as complete, you can leave a tip directly from the mobile app!


My Fairy Housekeeper didn’t show up. Now what?

If your housekeeper can no longer make it to your cleaning, we will send you a notification as soon as we know.

If there is a last-minute change to the cleaning, we will use your alternate dates and times to reschedule. If we are unable to do so, you will not be charged for the Single Cleaning cleaning.


Something came up! How do I reschedule my Single Cleaning?

You can manage all of your cleanings, including Single Cleanings, in your Fairy account by clicking on the cleaning itself in your calendar.

Cancellations within 24 hours of the cleaning time will be refunded 50% of the cleaning value. We try really hard to give both customers and housekeepers an amazing experience on Fairy. We understand that last minute cancellations come up, but want to avoid them as much as possible. If you would like to dispute your fees, we look at fee refunds on a case-by-case basis.
